History Where It All Began I’m Andrea Barrail, Founder, Designer, and Gemologist of Andrea Barrail Jewelry, I was born in Paraguay and since I was a child I realized that our culture was being severely overlooked. In a world dominated by social media, the corporate scene and mass production, it was such a breath of fresh air for me finding a connection with the artisans of my country through our mutual love for jewelry. I saw the love the put in every piece they created, all the attention they gave to the little details, for me this was like finding a true gem that deserved the spotlight. With my brand my purpose is to play a part in creating a global consciousness of the artistic heritage and talent of less renowned countries, such as mine. My dream is to make Paraguay a well-known location for art jewelry in the world. As I completed the Jewelry Designer certification at IED in Barcelona in 2015, I graduated as a gemologist at GIA New York and made my first appearance at Design Miami with Cristina Grajales Gallery from New York in December 2016. The launch of my first collection in Paraguay was in 2017, and it was inspired by indigenous “tattoos” found on wood, fused with contemporary art. Since then, my team and I have never stopped creating.
